Founding Partner and Managing Director
Daniel Grunberg is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of TC Latin America Partners. He has more than 25 years of experience negotiating and implementing legal and financial structures in emerging markets.
Prior to forming TC Latin America Partners in 2012, Mr. Grunberg, alongside Gregorio Schneider, was a member of the Emerging Markets group at Och-Ziff Capital Management. Since the creation of the group, he helped to manage and structure the real estate investments of Och-Ziff in Turkey, Peru and other markets. Prior to joining Och-Ziff, Mr. Grunberg worked alongside Mr. Schneider at The Rohatyn Group, where he managed, structured and executed transactions in Emerging Markets.
Prior to joining The Rohatyn Group, Daniel was General Counsel at Sojitz Corporation of America, a global Japanese trading company with offices and operations across Latin America. While at Sojitz, he was involved in the management of a private debt and equity portfolio that included real estate assets in Brazil, Chile, Mexico and the United States. Before joining Sojitz, Mr. Grunberg was Executive Director of Illinova Generating Company (now Dynergy), where he developed power generation projects in Colombia, Dominican Republic, Panama, Peru and Venezuela.
Daniel holds a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University, where he was a Fulbright Scholar, a Master in Law from Fordham University and a Master of Philosophy from New York University. He also holds a law degree from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Venezuela, and a bachelor’s degree in Literature from Universidad Central de Venezuela.
Daniel is Adjunct Professor at Fordham School of Law.
